Grandstand Stoneleigh Events appoints new Managing Director

Grandstand Stoneleigh Events Ltd has today announced the appointment of Chris Hartley to the role of Managing Director.  Hartley replaces Helena Pettit who was MD of Grandstand Group since August 2008.  In his new role Hartley will lead the team at NAEC Stoneleigh, one of the most versatile venue businesses in the UK, which includes the management of The RASE technical events team, Grandstand Event Management, (Zinc) a specialist corporate event management business and Stoneleigh Park Lodge, a 58 bedroom 4 star guest house.

Chris brings a wealth of industry and sales experience to the business, having held senior commercial positions within the event industry, including roles with one of the worlds leading exhibition organisers Reed Exhibitions, The NEC Group and most recently LiveBuzz, a specialist event registration provider.

In his new role one of Hartley’s responsibilities will be to ensure that NAEC Stoneleigh maximizes its position as a venue of choice for exhibition and conference organisers.

Grandstand Media Ltd, part of the group which runs both Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) and the British Showjumping National Championships (BSNC) will now be headed up by Emma Wardell, Event Director.
