Road Transport Expo (RTX) celebrated its fifth anniversary at NAEC Stoneleigh this June, marking another milestone for what has become one of the UK’s leading events for the road haulage industry.
Since launching at NAEC Stoneleigh in 2022, RTX has experienced exceptional growth, firmly establishing itself as the UK’s premier road transport trade show. Over the past five years, the exhibition has expanded its indoor space by 40%, while exhibitor numbers have more than doubled, increasing by 106%. Visitor attendance has also grown by an impressive 100%, highlighting the event’s continued success and growing importance within the industry.
Designed to meet the needs of fleet operators and transport professionals, Road Transport Expo brings together more than 350 exhibitors showcasing the latest vehicles, products, services and innovations. Visitors have the opportunity to gain expert insights, discover cutting-edge technology, source new suppliers and network with leading manufacturers and industry experts – all in one location.
Reflecting on the show’s success, Vic Bunby, Divisional Managing Director at Mark Allen Group, said “When we first launched the show five years ago, we chose NAEC Stoneleigh because it’s a fantastic venue. Some of our customers want to exhibit indoors, while others prefer outdoor space, and Stoneleigh offers the flexibility to do both. Since day one, we’ve had tremendous support from the team at Stoneleigh, and the show has gone from strength to strength, doubling in size. Last year, we welcomed 14,000 visitors, and we’re delighted to be returning to Stoneleigh again next year.”
Lowri Croydon, Head of Commercial and Business Development at NAEC Stoneleigh, added “Watching Road Transport Expo evolve from its inaugural event to celebrating its fifth anniversary here at NAEC Stoneleigh has been a real pleasure. The growth of the show has been remarkable, reflecting both the strength of the road transport sector and the dedication of the organisers. We’re proud to have played a part in that success story and look forward to welcoming the industry back for many more years to come.”
As Road Transport Expo celebrates five successful years, its continued growth demonstrates the strength of both the event and the wider road transport industry. With expanding exhibition space, increasing visitor numbers and strong industry support, RTX continues to set the benchmark for road haulage events in the UK and is set to return to NAEC Stoneleigh in 2027.
